Our frequently asked questions

Do you accept Government Funded places?

Yes!  We have spaces available for funded children, including 2 Year Old Funding.  Please contact the council first to receive confirmation that you are definitely eligible for funding.

How will my child be settled in to Nursery?

We tailor the settling in process individually to address each child’s individual needs and circumstances. Generally it will involve introducing your child to their assigned Key Person, and creating an initial bond between the Key Person and your child. Our approach is flexible and we can discuss various options with you, such as half days or part days, in order to help us provide as smooth a settling in process for your child as possible.

Do you have an outside area?

Yes we do! We have a lovely part-sheltered outdoors area covered with soft colourful matting, and equipped with outdoor toys and activities. Because it is part sheltered, we can take the children outside to play everyday regardless of the weather!

Do you take the children on outings?

Yes we do! We love to take the children out exploring in our local area. We go on outings to the local park, the local shops, the library, and other fun places!

Do you provide food? What will my child eat?

Yes, we are all inclusive and provide three healthy meals a day including a cooked lunch and cooked tea (depending on whether your child attends a morning, afternoon, or full day session). We encourage a varied and balanced nutritional diet, so your child will have the opportunity to experience a wide assortment of healthy foods. If your child has any special dietary requirements or allergies, etc, then we will cater for this as per our policies.

How much are your fees?

We will happily provide you with a prospectus that includes our fee sheet. Please contact us to request a prospectus!

Can I see your policies?

Yes! Copies of our policies are kept in our Nursery Office!

How will you keep my child safe?

Our policies and procedures are strictly adhered to in order to maintain the safety of our children. We insist that each child’s parent and Key Person are present to “sign in” at the start of each day, and that the parent and Key Person “sign out” the child at the end of each day. We also have frequent registers and headcounts throughout the day, and our staff to child ratios are strictly in accordance with Ofsted’s requirements of 1 adult to 4 children for aged 2-3 years old, and 1 adult to 8 children for 3-5 year olds.  Our premises are secured with locked doors and child gates etc, plus our CCTV system.

When are you open?

We are open from Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 18.00pm. You can bring your child for the full day, or for morning sessions (7.30am to 12.30pm) or afternoon sessions (13.00pm to 18.00pm).

Why do you enforce a minimum required number of sessions a week?

It is our experience that children who attend nursery for less than two sessions a week struggle with settling in at the nursery, as they find it very distressing and confusing to keep with the routines. It is best for the child, as well as for the parents and staff, for the child to attend at least two sessions a week to fully embrace and enjoy the nursery experience.

Can I come for a visit?

Absolutely! We would love for you to come and have a look around! To book a visit please get in touch!
